Reagan - One Month

How on earth are you one month old? 

Your first month of life has been quite exciting.  From failing 2 hearing tests while in the hospital, getting a referral for a foot dr, being readmitted to the hospital for jaundice, and getting an "abnormal" result of the Fatty Acid Infant Screening .... you've definitely kept us on our toes.

Thankfully, your first foot appointment went well.  We have stretches to do each day, and we go back in June for a recheck.  If your foot gets stiff, we may have to put some casts on it.  You also received a "normal" result during the retest for the Fatty Acid screening.  We don't have a recheck on your hearing until the end of June.  We're hoping that goes well too.  According to your pediatrician, you "just aren't good at standardized tests" ... We may have to work on that since you are a child of two teachers! 

Mother's Day 2017

You started off the month in newborn diapers and clothes.  In fact, we had to run to Target during your first week of life to stock up on some newborn clothes because we didn't have too many.  You are now in size 1 diapers and moving on up to size 0-3 clothes. Some of the newborns still fit, but their getting pretty snug and barely fit over your head.


Likes:
*Sleeping - you do this alot :) 
*Bottles - this girl loves to eat
*Snuggling - We think you could sleep ALL the time if someone was holding you
*Car Rides - as long as you're moving, you tend to sleep in the car
*Baths - You love the warm water.
*Walks - as long as you keep moving
*Being read to - thank goodness!  Mommy and Daddy are sure proud of this!  

Dislikes
*NoseFrida - I'm not sure anyone likes having their nose sucked out
*Getting dressed - why do all clothes have to go over your head?! 
*Waiting for a bottle - When you're hungry ... you're hungry now! 
*Being in the carseat without moving
*Peanut laying on your head - don't worry!  Mommy put a stop to that quick! 

You are a very calm baby so far.  You enjoy laying on your back to stretch your arms and legs as long as you're not hungry.  You also seem to enjoy tummy time so far, but sometimes you just fall asleep. :)

In your first month, you've met many Grandmas, aunts, uncles, and first cousins as well as many of Mommy and Daddy's coworkers and friends. You were even able to meet Dr. Abrams who played such a huge part in ensuring that you were kept safe inside for as long as possible. 

Fr. Joe said you may just be the youngest baby that he's known to attend your first mass at 5 days old.

Reagan Michelle - you have rocked Mommy and Daddy's world in the last month and we couldn't be more thankful.  You are truly a precious gift sent to us from God.  We are so very proud of you, and we just love showing you off to everyone we meet. Our life revolves around you and we wouldn't ask for anything different.  We are SO lucky and SO grateful that we both get to spend the summer with you! Also, thank you for giving Mommy an extra 3 weeks of summer... you planned that well! :)
