Reagan - Three

Reagan,

It's so hard to believe you're three! It feels like you've been apart of us forever! 

Your vocabulary continues to grow astronomically!  There's some days I wonder where you get some of your catch phrases.  

You have "leadership skills" aka you love to be the boss.  You constantly like to tell others how to do things and how to play with you and you have constant reminders that you're not always in charge. 

You are ALMOST potty trained.  I never thought it would be this difficult.  We've been trying off and on since last summer, and you're almost there. We have our good days and our days full of accidents, but it can only go up from here, right? 

You love to play outside! You got a new swing from the Easter bunny and have enjoyed the nice weather to go out and swing and play on the slide. Daddy is trying to get you into golf and you have your own golf set. Your interest isn't quite there yet...  We've been trying to get you to ride your tricycle or bike, but you're not quite ready.  You're still very unsure about about yourself. During this COVID quarantine, we spent many days taking walks on the golf course and found your favorite spot... a bridge.  You love to stand there and watch the water run and ask questions about everything ..

You're very inquisitive.  You want to know about the world and how it functions.  We spend lots of time answering questions about what things are made of, where things come from, etc. 

You love books! You will sit and read books over and over.  There are quite a few books that you have memorized and can read all by yourself. 

You know almost all of your capital letters and we've started working on lowercase (because you have a crazy Mom).  You also know how to spell your name and love to talk about things that start with different letters. 

You are going to be a movie watcher and Daddy is pumped!  You will sit and watch almost any movie and get very into it.  The only downfall is you ask a lot of questions during the movie especially if it's the first time you've seen it. Daddy is determined you get you into Marvel movies. 

You still won't go to sleep by yourself at night.  Either Daddy or I will lay with you until you fall asleep. Some days this drives me crazy, but most days I am thankful for this down time with you.  Listening to you talk is my very favorite part.  

You are such a good big sister (most of the time)!  You're very good at sharing snacks and toys with Kinley.  You do like to take things away from her, but you're always willing to give her a turn. 

We were supposed to attend your very first fairy tale ball this month with your new Anna dress, but thanks to COVID19, it was cancelled.

Kinley - One Year

It's been an entire year since you've joined our family.  Before you came, I worried so much that I wouldn't be able to love you as much as I love Reagan, but it's amazing how you helped my heart to grow from the first time I saw your face.

This month:
-You've experienced your first (and hopefully only) pandemic.  COVID-19 has taken over the world.  The mandated "stay at home" order has meant you've spent the entire month at home with Mommy, Daddy and Reagan. You've enjoyed this so much!  

-Before the crazy of Corona started, we snuck in a trip to the St. Louis Zoo with the Jones fam.  It was cold but so much fun! 

-You've mastered walking, and we were able to witness it all.  You started the month very unsure of yourself but you are now walking, falling down, and getting right back up to keep going. 

-You've officially moved out of the infant seat and into a big girl seat.  You're loving it so far!

-You LOVE Frozen 2 and Into the Unknown is your favorite song.  You're often found raising one arm up in the air singing "ahhhhhh" just like Elsa. 

-You are into EVERYTHING.  You like remotes, dog food, anything with water, and finding someone else's drink.  You find every little piece of anything that is on the floor and try to eat it. You also are a stair climber and will dart for any steps you can find. You also love to climb on anything you can. 

-You LOVE to be outside.  You either going to the back door or the door to the garage and start saying "uh uh uh" and pointing because you want to go outside.  You just like to walk around, push toys, and dump bubbles. 

-You say five words that we know of.  "baba" for bottle, "bubba" for Peanut (We sometimes call him bubba), "mama", "dada", and "uh-oh".  You're trying to talk and point very often but the words just aren't coming out. You definitely know alot more than you can say because you point to things that we talk about. 

-You still eat baby food but you don't love it. You prefer pouches that you can feed yourself because you want to be independent. 

-You admire Reagan. You giggle at SO many things she does. It's so much fun to watch!

-You may make Peanut hate you.  You currently love to chase him, fall on top of him, and steal his bear.  He's so sweet to you though. You do make it up to him by feeding him every time you eat.

I'm ONE!

Kinley, in the last year, you've given our little family so much enjoyment.  Watching you grow and learn new things each day is so exciting.  We've really enjoyed being able to spend so much time with you in the last month (even if we get frustrated getting you out of things you shouldn't have).  You are so, so, SO cute right now with your toothy ornery grin and I wish we could just bottle you up at this stage for a while. 

You are loved so much more than you even know!
