Team Kendyn - Year 2

In honor of October 15 which is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day....

Bill, Reagan, and I were joined by family members and friends as we remembered Kendyn, our precious first born, on Saturday, October 7 by attending "A Walk to Remember" at Washington Park in Springfield. 

This event includes music that brings tears to your eyes, poems and speeches being read from others who have experienced similar losses, all babies' names being read while their parents and family members place a pinwheel in the Garden of Dreams, a balloon release
and a walk around the park. 

Most importantly, this walk is a gathering of people who've all experienced similar losses.  It's very powerful to see this many families come together to remember all those babies who earned their angel wings much to soon. 

Very soon after losing Kendyn, I felt so alone knowing that I had Bill and an army full of people behind me to help but I just felt that nothing could fill the void in my heart and my arms... Attending this walk last year was very, very hard but it gave me comfort knowing there were so many others walking the road along side me...

So thankful my sister made Reagan a shirt "My sister has wings"

This year, the walk was easier on my heart because I could look at Reagan and be so very thankful for the miracle of our Rainbow Baby, but it still made me wish I had 2 girls in my arms.

On the outside, I look like a mother of 1, but I am a mother to two beautiful girls....

Because of you I appreciate the sunset more than before.

Because of you I stop to look up at the moon and wish upon a star. 

Because of you I look forward to hearing the birds sing in the morning, and thank God for their beautiful songs.

Because of you I am more understanding of others and accept people for who they are.

Because of you material things do not matter.

Because of you the touch of someone you love is more precious that any gift you can receive. 

Because of you I have a broken heart but I think God for sending you to me.

For there is no stronger love than I hold for you.

Reagan - Five Months

5 Months Old - 5 Months ago we became parents to a child that we were able to take home with us.  There's days it seems like yesterday and there's days it seems like a lifetime ago ...

This Month:

-You tried out your high chair for the first time.  You love sitting up in there while we're working in the kitchen. 

-You started eating oatmeal, fruit and even veggies.  You're just like you Momma and have a love for green beans :) 

-You started one bottle a day of Enfamil Reguline to help keep you regular :) 

-You've really started to "play" with your toys by holding onto them and bringing them to your mouth.

-You've discovered your tongue .... you're always sticking it out

-You missed you BFFAE, Adelia's, 1st birthday party, but you had your own playdate to make up for it 

-You still love the water whether its bath time or being in the pool.  We're continuing to take you to the pool so you love it as much as we do.  We can't wait to start swimming lessons in the coming months!

Likes:

-Being outside/watching trees blow in the wind

-Fans

-Red Ball

-Making Noises/Talking

-Laying on the floor
-Playing with Daddy
-Cuddling with Mommy when you're tired

Dislikes:

-Seeing a bottle that's not being fed to you

-Still burping

-Other drinks that she sees that aren't for her
