Reagan - Five

 You are five years old ... one whole hand! 

You are so close to graduating Pre-K and going off to Kindergarten.  You are so excited to go to school everyday and you have learned so, SO much!

You are still miss social!  If you see any neighbors out playing, you get out as fast as you can to join them.  If they're not outside, you want to know where they are and when they'll be home to play. 

You love being a big sister.  You are so helpful with Reese.  You will sit and play with her, talk or sing to her, and help feed her if needed.  You play well with Kinley (sometimes). You prefer Kinley to play how you tell her you .. and that doesn't always work out in your favor.

You are so inquisitive.  You're always asking questions and always asking "why'.  You are soaking up all of the knowledge that you can. 

You have developed your own sense of style and prefer to pick your own outfit each day. This has been a struggle for me as they don't always match, but I've learned to let you be you! 

Your all time favorite food is still "the real mexican".  You especially love when we can go and eat at the restaurant.  This year was your first time getting ice cream in your face for your birthday and you really loved it!

You are still a cuddle bug especially when you are tired.  Even though you are getting bigger, I still love the times you come and cuddle with me on the couch. That will never get old. 

You love fiercely.  You love to spend time with family and always ask when we will see your grandmas, aunts, uncles, and cousins again.  You value that time. 

You are the best mix of superhero and princess.  You love them both! 

You will be "graduating" Debbie's Daycare in just 2 weeks as you are off to kindergarten in August.  We're looking forward to a summer of spending some time with just you. 

You are playing Tball for the first time this year. 

Reagan, 

You are growing up right before our eyes.  As much as it makes us sad that you're starting kindergarten, we are looking forward to watching you grow and learn.  Keep standing up for what is right and making friends with everyone.  We love you so much!

Reese - One Year

It's so hard to believe that you are an entire year old, and we officially have no more babies in the Miller household.  You've definitely rocked our world since the moment you entered our family. 

Height: 30 in 

Weight: 19.1 lbs 

Clothes: 12-18 months

Diapers: Size 3

This month:

-Your collarbone healed, and you no longer need the wrap. Thank goodness!

-You've enjoyed time outside.  You like to swing, go for walks in the stroller or wagon, and sit on the trampoline while your sisters jump (slowly).

-You celebrated your first Easter and slept through the egg hunt. 

-You've started to get more active.  You aren't quite crawling but can figure out how to roll and scoot to get what you want (if it's close enough). You will also get up on all 4's but are still unsure how to make yourself move. 

-Due to the formula shortage, you've almost fully transitioned to whole milk.  You still will only drink a bottle if it is warmed. 

-You are still a huge Mama's girl!  If you see me, you want me. No one else can hold you except maybe your Dad.  You will gives smiles and kisses, but just don't want to be taken from your Mom

You just love your sisters.  They love to play with you and make you giggle. It melts our hearts to see you all play together. 

You love food!  Mac and cheese, spaghetti, and pancakes are your favorite. You're also a fan of cake and ice cream.  

I left your one year doctor appointment in tears. It sure is hard to answer those “typical development” questions with so many “no’s”. You have hypotonia (low muscle tone) which leads to the uneasiness on your legs or even in crawling position. I’m fighting my best fight to get you in physical therapy. Your weight is also starting to slide (on the percentile graph) and you’re starting on pediasure to try to help that.

Reese, 

You are the perfect ending to our family.  This year has taught us to slow down and appreciate the time we have together.  Although you may not be meeting all of the milestones in "normal" timing, we know that you're growing and changing in God's timing. We are here to witness and cheer you on in every single accomplishment!  We love you so, so much and can't wait to see what the next year has in store for you!

Kinley - Three

Kinley Kate is three years old!

-You are so sweet!  You're a lover and a hugger but you still have some shy in you when you get around a group of people.

-You are strong-willed and determined.  You can do (almost) anything you put your mind to, and you're more than willing to do whatever it takes. You are determined to be "Wawesa" (aka Luisa) from Encanto. 

"I'm the strong one. I'm not nervous. I'm as tough as the crust of the earth is."

-You are completely potty trained and no longer need pull ups at night.  This all came from a week of COVID quarantine. 

-You have a smile that can melt hearts.  You know when to give the smile to get you out of whatever trouble you've gotten yourself into.

-You are so smart!  Your vocabulary continues to amaze us .. and you are quite the story teller. 

-You love to play "I spy with my little eye" on any car ride; however, you seem to switch colors and it's really hard to guess what you see. 

-You are a Daddy's girl!  Your favorite time of day is when Daddy comes home from work.  You are so excited every single time.

-You love being a big sister. You're almost always willing to help with anything that Reese needs. 

-You love Reagan but also love to pick at Reagan. You know exactly how to get her going, and you just keep doing it.  You are determined to do anything and everything that Reagan can do. 

-You were screened for Pre-K but didn't get in.  Darn!  We're crossing our fingers that an opening comes at some point, so you can ride the bus with Reagan before kindergarten. 

-You don't require much sleep ... and it's hard on Mommy!  You hardly ever sleep through the night .. and we're still trying to get a routine to change that.  Your favorite is to crawl in between Mommy and Daddy in bed, but we put a stop to that.  Just learn to sleep all night, okay?

-You have changed SO much this year, and we just love watching you grow! 

Kinley, 

You are our perfect middle child!  You keep us on on toes and always, always keep us laughing!  Your stubbornness is going to take you very far in life! We love you to the moon!
