Reagan - Four

Little Miss Reagan is 4! 

She is our social butterfly.  She loves to talk to anyone and everyone.  We'll be getting ready to leave and she will see one of the elderly neighbors outside and will go out to talk to them.  

She started Pre-K in August and even though she's only going every other day because of COVID, she loves it!  I look forward to picking her up on school days to hear all about who was the helper, what they had for snack, and what centers she played in.  She will love being able to go to school everyday next school year! 

We received a progress report from her teacher showing how she's performing on the skills needed before kindergarten (which she still has one more year of preschool). She can count to 29 (working on 30), knows all of her capital letters and 21 lowercase letters, identifies her shapes and colors.  She needs to work on the fine motor skills such as cutting and writing her letters/numbers.  Her name writing has improved SO much this year, but we still need to work on making the e's the right way. 

You're the best big sister. You were SO very excited to meet Reese and ask to hold her any chance you get.  Seeing you go into her room every morning to give her a kiss just melts my heart.  You and Kinley are becoming buddies, but of course you always want to play with the same toys. We're getting better at playing together but at the end of the day, you always love her too. 

You've come so far since last summer in riding your bike.  You got a brand new bike for your birthday, and we're looking forward to many days going for bike rides in our neighborhood.  We just have to work on how to use the brakes. 

Somedays it's hard to believe you're only four.  You ask such deep questions and we talk about things that are much beyond your years.  You're full of questions but we always try to answer them as best as we can. 

You love fiercely!  You have the biggest heart and love your people so much.

Your concept of Heaven melts our hearts.  You have so many family members that we talk about in Heaven and you're always telling us how much you miss them.  Hearing you talk about Kendyn and how you wish she could come back to us brings tears to my eyes every single time.  We also spend a lot of time talking about Grandpa Richard and Grandpa Mike and what they were like and how much they love you too. 

You're loving your new bed on the top bunk.  You've always been our sleeper and you're so good at climbing up there every night and going to sleep.  

Your current favorite toy is Barbies.  You love changing their clothes and pretending with them.  I love to sit close where I can hear you playing.  

Reagan, you came into this world and healed so much hurt in your Daddy and I's hearts.  You showed us what being and Mommy and Daddy on earth was like.  I'll never forget the moment you were born and I heard your first cry.  I knew at that moment you were alive and healthy and I had a big sigh of relief.  You had an army of people praying for you, and God works in wonderful ways. 

We love you SO much Reagan! Can't wait to see what year 4 brings for you.
